Spicy Onions is an AI hair try-on studio. Each generation creates one look of you wearing the style you chose (or the style we curate for you). By using the app you agree to use it for personal, non-commercial styling decisions and to upload only photos of yourself or people who have given you permission. You must be 13 or older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

Try-ons are created by artificial intelligence. AI is powerful but imperfect — results may occasionally look off, miss fine details, or vary between generations. Styles are meant as a visual guide to help you make a decision, not a guaranteed representation of how a style will look in real life. Always confirm final decisions with a qualified hairstylist.

We process the photo you upload to generate your try-on styles. We do not sell your photos or share them with third parties for advertising. Styles you generate are visible only to you when signed in, and only shared when you choose to share or download them. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.

Shared styles carry a subtle "Styled by Spicy Onions" signature so people know they're generated. This protects you and the brand from misuse.

Your first look is free without an account. When you sign up you get 3 free looks, once off— they do not renew. Once your free looks are used, you need to buy a one-time style pack to keep creating: Glow Up (R99 · 18 looks) or Signature (R179 · 32 looks). Free looks are always used before pack looks. Pack looks never expire. Saving and sharing looks is always free.

Payments are processed by Gumroad, our merchant of record and an official Stripe partner. All payments are PCI-DSS compliant and secured with 256-bit AES encryption. Spicy Onions never stores or has access to your full card details — your data is handled with bank-level security.

After your purchase: Gumroad will email you an official receipt on our behalf — this is your tax invoice. You can also view and download every invoice at any time from Settings → Invoices. Pack looks are added automatically to the Spicy Onions account matching your checkout email, usually within a few seconds. Purchased looks never expire. Refunded or charged-back purchases remove the corresponding unused looks.

We do not offer cash refunds on style packs, as digital styles are delivered immediately upon purchase. However, we stand behind the experience: if a generation fails on our end or the model returns a distorted, incomplete or otherwise unusable look, that style is credited back to your account so you can try again at no additional cost.

Credit-back guarantee. Our team reviews generated looks and may return the credit automatically — you'll get a notification in the app when a free style lands back in your account, along with a note naming the look that came out wrong. You can also request a credit back yourself by chatting with the founder via the WhatsApp bubble in the app or by contacting support.

Requests must be raised within 14 days of the issue. Credits returned this way are styles, not cash, and never expire. Refund and chargeback disputes for payment-related matters are handled by Gumroad in line with their terms of service.

No nudity, sexual content, minors in suggestive contexts, hateful imagery, or impersonation. We may decline to generate or remove looks that violate this policy, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.

You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By using Spicy Onions, you grant us a limited licence to process those photos solely to deliver the try-on service. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support. We honour privacy rights under applicable laws including POPIA, GDPR, and CCPA.

We work hard to keep Spicy Onions running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spicy Onions is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

We may update these terms from time to time as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of Spicy Onions after an update means you accept the revised terms.
