Spicy Onions gives wig stores, salons and hairstylists their own virtual try-on storefront. Store owners publish a branded storefront with their wig catalogue, and hairstylists and salons publish their styles; customers upload a selfie, try a wig or a hairstyle on, then continue to the business's own checkout, preferred destination or appointment booking page. By using the service you agree to upload only photos of yourself or people who have given you permission, and only product imagery you own or are licensed to use. You must be 13 or older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

Store owners, salons and hairstylists hold a paid subscription, publish a storefront and are responsible for their catalogue content, pricing, booking fees, product and booking links, appointments, order fulfilment, returns and customer service. Spicy Onions is not a party to any sale, appointment or booking between a business and its customers, and does not take or hold bookings or payments on their behalf.

Shoppers and clients create a free account to generate try-ons on a business's storefront. Try-ons are free for shoppers and are funded by the store's subscription.

Try-ons are created by artificial intelligence. AI is powerful but imperfect — results may occasionally look off, miss fine details, or vary between generations. A try-on is a visual guide to help a shopper decide, not a guaranteed representation of the physical product.

Product & style photos. Store owners, salons and hairstylists must upload photos of real people wearing the wig or hairstyle — front-facing, with the full hairstyle inside the frame, even lighting and a clean background. Mannequin, wig-stand or heavily edited images produce poor try-ons and may be removed.

Shopper selfies. Shoppers should face the camera with face and shoulders in frame, in good light, with hair away from the face and no hats, hoods, sunglasses or side profiles.

Each subscription includes a monthly try-on allowance for the store (Starter 1 000, Growth 3 000, Scale 6 000). Allowances top up on renewal and unused try-ons do not accumulate indefinitely. Separately, each shopper has a daily try-on limit set by the store owner — 3 per day by default — which resets every day. Try-ons that fail on our side are credited back to the store.

We process a shopper's uploaded photo solely to generate their try-on. We do not sell photos or share them with third parties for advertising. A shopper's results are visible to that shopper and, in aggregate engagement form, to the store whose storefront they used. Store owners must handle any shopper information they receive lawfully and only for fulfilling orders and customer service. Any account and its associated data can be deleted at any time from Settings.

Shared try-ons carry a subtle "Styled by Spicy Onions" signature so people know they're AI-generated. This protects shoppers, stores and the brand from misuse.

Storefronts run on monthly subscriptions: Starter ($399 per month · 1 000 try-ons · up to 30 hairstyles), Growth ($999 per month · 3 000 try-ons · up to 150 hairstyles) and Scale ($1 799 per month · 6 000 try-ons · unlimited hairstyles). Each plan renews automatically at the end of its billing cycle until you cancel. Building a storefront and adding your wigs and hair extensions is free — a plan is required to keep it live and to generate try-ons.

What counts as a try-on. One try-on is one generated look for one shopper. Storefront visits, wig views and checkout click-throughs never use try-ons. If a generation fails before an image is delivered, no try-on is deducted.

Renewals. At the start of every cycle your try-on allowance tops back up to the plan amount. Unused try-ons do not accumulate indefinitely and your remaining allowance ends when the subscription is cancelled, lapses, or a payment fails.

When your try-ons run out. Your storefront stays online, but new try-ons pause until your next renewal or until you upgrade on the Pricing page. Upgrading takes effect immediately and tops your allowance up straight away.

Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from your Gumroad account or from Settings → Plan. Cancellation stops future charges and your storefront stays live until the end of the cycle you've already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, your plan is flagged to end at the paid period end.

Payments are processed by Gumroad, our merchant of record and an official Stripe partner. Checkout opens in a secure pop-up and closes automatically once payment is confirmed. Prices are charged in USD, so your bank may apply its own conversion rate. All payments are PCI-DSS compliant and secured with 256-bit AES encryption. Spicy Onions never stores or has access to your full card details.

Invoices. Gumroad emails you an official receipt on our behalf after every payment — that is your tax invoice. In addition, a branded Spicy Onions invoice showing your plan name, price, billing cycle and try-ons included is available any time from Settings → Invoices, where you can view or download it as a PDF.

We do not offer cash refunds on subscription payments, as the service is delivered immediately. However, we stand behind the experience: if a generation fails on our end or the model returns a distorted, incomplete or otherwise unusable look, that try-on is credited back to your allowance at no additional cost.

Requests must be raised within 14 days of the issue. Credits returned this way are try-ons, not cash, and apply to the current subscription. Refund and chargeback disputes for payment-related matters are handled by Gumroad in line with their terms of service.

No nudity, sexual content, minors in suggestive contexts, hateful imagery, counterfeit product claims, or impersonation of another brand. We may decline to generate, remove looks, or take a storefront offline where this policy is violated, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.

You retain ownership of the photos and product imagery you upload. By using Spicy Onions, you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to deliver the try-on service. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support. We honour privacy rights under applicable laws including POPIA, GDPR, and CCPA.

We work hard to keep Spicy Onions running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spicy Onions is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

We may update these terms from time to time as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of Spicy Onions after an update means you accept the revised terms.
